Air France Baggage Rules

The number of bags you can put in the hold for free depend on the cabin in which you are traveling, your fare type, and your Flying Blue status. You will find all baggage-related information when you select your flight.

• In the Economy cabin: 0 to 2 baggage items, depending on your chosen ticket fare (maximum weight per baggage: 23kg/50 lb).
• In the Premium Economy cabin: from 0 to 2 baggage items, depending on your chosen ticket fare (maximum weight per baggage: 23 kg/50 lb).
• In the Business cabin: 1 to 2 baggage items, depending on your chosen ticket fare (maximum weight per baggage: 32kg/70.5 lb).
• In the La Première cabin, 3 baggage items (maximum weight per baggage: 32 kg/70.5 lb).

If you are a Flying Blue Silver, Gold or Platinum, or SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus member, you are entitled to 1 additional checked bag at no extra charge. The permitted weight depends on your travel cabin.

Please contact customer service if you need to travel with more than 3 bags per passenger. Depending how full our flights are, we will let you know if you qualify for an exceptional clearance. For the Light fare, this excludes the first checked bag on flights between Europe and North America. For the Light fare, the airport rate applies.

Your checked baggage can weigh up to 23 kg/50 lb. if your purchased a ticket in the Economy or Premium Economy cabins, and 32 kg/70.5 lb. for the Business and La Première cabins.

If your baggage items weighs more than what your ticket conditions allow, without exceeding 32 kg/70.5 lb., you will need to pay an additional fee at the aiport. The fee amount will depend on your trip.
