Cochin International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. Located in Nedumbassery, 29 km from the city center, this is the largest airport in Kerala and one of major gateway to India. It is also India's 4th busiest airport in India in terms of international traffic and seventh busiest overall.

Cochin International Airport has three main terminals. Two domestic terminals and one international terminal. There is also a cargo terminal spread over an area of 2,000 acres (810 ha).

Terminal 2 is currently used for domestic operations. This will be shortly converted into Executive terminal once the domestic operations shifts to Terminal 1.

Terminal 1 used to be an international terminal until the operations were shifted to the new international Terminal 3. CIAL is the fifth airport in India to install advanced in-line baggage screening systems, replacing conventional x-ray based manual screening.

On 8 September 2012, the director board of CIAL approved the design of the new international terminal which will cost 6 billion (US$94 million). It has two levels, the ground level for arrivals and the top level for departures.

  KSRTC operates two classes of bus service from the airport: fast passenger and super fast express. This bus operate every 10-20 minutes to most of the nearby towns and places. KSRTC also operates premium air-conditioned service which consists of modern Volvo fleet, better known as Orange Buses.

  All taxis operated from Cochin airport belongs to Cochin Airport Taxi Society (CATS) which is a pre-paid taxi service. For airport/city transfers, the standard rate for all vehicles is Rs 19 per Km for Non Air-conditioned vehicles and Rs 23 for Air-conditioned vehicle. The Minimum fare is Rs 400 with distance of 22 Kms.
